The draft Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications and Deemed Applications) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2013 will be laid in Parliament on February 1, 2013.
If approved by Parliament these regulations would come into force on April 6, 2013. The effect of the regulations is to increase planning application fees by approximately 20 per cent.
If you know that you are going to have to apply for planning permission in the next year or so now would be a good time to submit it before the above rises come into effect.
If you would like to discuss how this may affect you project please contact ourselves. There is still plenty of time to get a project drawn up and submitted before the deadline. If however you leave it for a few weeks though things could get tight for time depending on the size of the project.
